Edinburgh With An Old Compact Camera - The Canon PowerShot G10
In this day of impressively spec’d cameras and smartphones, it’s hugely refreshing to go old school and use an older camera that delivers beautiful, pleasing images you just can’t get with the latest tech. In this article I take the G10 to Edinburgh’s Old Town and Princes Street gardens to see what I can capture on this old compact.

Greyfriars Kirkyard in Edinburgh - Mindful Moment Film
One of my favourite historic sites to visit in Edinburgh is the beautiful & atmospheric Greyfriar’s Kirkyard in Edinburgh. The Kirk opened its doors in 1620 and recently celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2020. Greyfriars Kirkyard is one of Edinburgh's most fascinating and atmospheric burial grounds. Aside from the incredible history (and stories, which abound about this beautiful graveyard) it's also a peaceful, green space in the heart of the city, that's full of wildlife.

Springtime Flowers in Edinburgh
A couple of days ago I noticed that many of the beautiful spring flowers were starting to bloom and I thought it’d be nice to try and capture some of them in lovely Princes Street Gardens, here in the heart of Edinburgh.

As an Edinburgh Tour Guide I get a lot of questions about visiting Edinburgh, Scotland’s Capital, and I thought it’d be a good idea to create a video answering some of the most common questions I get. Classic Portrait Shoot in Edinburgh with Denisa Strakova
Shooting portraits outside in November in Scotland can be tricky. You never know what to expect from the weather here in Edinburgh, which is always changing at the best of times. However, we were exceptionally lucky and the day was fresh & bright and not too cold. The location we chose to shoot in was a 17th century style garden on Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile, which suited the classical look we were going for. The garden provides a lovely backdrop for portraits and still looked wonderful, despite it being the start of winter.
