Interesting Things To Photograph Around Edinburgh: 3 May 2025
Beautiful Pink Cherry Trees in The Meadows, Edinburgh, May 2025
One of the things I most love to do in Edinburgh, is wander around the city with my camera and discover new and interesting things to photograph. Even though I’ve lived & worked in Edinburgh for over fifty years, I’m always astonished and excited to come across something new and beautiful in the city.
These photos were taken in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town, The Cowgate, Quartermile, George Square, The Meadows and The Vennel, and I thoroughly recommend having a wander around these areas with your camera to see what you can find.
There’s everything from new and old architecture, historic buildings, beautiful trees, doorways, colourful police boxes, old gas lamps and wildlife, and I’m sure you’ll discover even more. All were taken on my trusty, 2009, Canon PowerShot G10 and I hope you enjoy them. Edinburgh is such a fascinating city to explore and even more so if you’re a keen photographer. As always, the shots were all taken with enjoyment in mind and keeping photography fun.
