25 Tips for Visiting Edinburgh, Scotland

Edinburgh - 25 Useful Tips for Visiting Edinburgh, Scotland by David Wheater

As an Edinburgh Tour Guide I get a lot of questions about visiting Edinburgh, Scotland’s beautiful Capital, and I thought it’d be a good idea to create a video answering some of the most common questions I get. This video covers everything from travel, accommodation, the Scottish weather, public transport, music and food, and I hope you find it really useful when you’re visiting Edinburgh.

Edinburgh isn’t a big city, but there’s a huge amount to see & do, and I really do recommend spending at least 3 days here to get a good feel for the city. There’s also a huge amount to see & do on the outskirts of the city, from Linlithgow Palace, Hopetoun House, Blackness Castle and Rosslyn Chapel, plus day trips to Glasgow and Stirling - so take your time and travel slowly.

If you’d like a private tour of Edinburgh with me, you can book directly on this website and it’d be wonderful to see you and show you around my amazing home city of Edinburgh.

If you’d like more information about visiting, I’ve written a 100 page Edinburgh Guidebook with 300 colour photos which you can download here from my website.

Thanks so much for watching and have a brilliant time when you visit.
