This was a wonderful tour with David! He is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly.
He takes the time to make sure that you're having a great tour and honestly you could spend days with him and learn more and more!
He has very good manners and takes very good care of his clients. He will even take you to a fantastic tea and coffee shop for a little break.
I wish we could have stayed and taken multiple days worth of tours with him, he was that good! I highly recommend this tour.

As we explore this beautiful & vibrant city, David will tell you all about the amazing history of all the places we visit and pass on invaluable photography tips. This is very much a personal tour, by a Glasgow enthusiast, sharing beautiful locations and amazing history & stories, on and off the beaten path, around the city.
Suitable for all levels and all kinds of cameras, including smartphones. If you love history, stories and taking photos, this is the tour for you!
Tour Type - This is an exclusive, PRIVATE walking tour with local guide & photographer, David Wheater. You will be the only people on this exclusive, private tour with David, and have his undivided attention.
Duration - The walking tour lasts 5 hours (complimentary coffee break 20 mins).
Fixed Cost - This exclusive, private tour is a FIXED PRICE of just £350 and includes a complimentary tea/coffee break.
Coffee/tea Break - There is a complimentary coffee/tea break at Byres Road.
Meeting Point - Next to the Wellington Equestrian Statue, outside the Gallery of Modern Art in Royal Exchange Square (a location map is supplied). We will be taking a return trip on the Glasgow Underground, between George Square and Glasgow University, which is included in the price of the tour.
End Point - George Square, near Queen Street Station. David is happy to walk you to your next destination, please ask at start of the tour.
Fitness Required - This tour covers a distance of around 3 miles. We recommend that you’re fit and in good health. Please wear comfortable footwear for stairs & cobbled streets.
