Photography Workshops

If you’re anything like me, photography is a passion and a way of life. Photographers have an insatiable desire to capture all the beauty they see around them, and the emotion in every occasion.

It’s an enduring, all consuming passion that never leaves you, and which drives you to notice the hidden and the invisible that passes most people by. Photographers see the world very differently. They notice light, form, shape and the beauty of mundane, everyday things that’s so often missed and overlooked. It’s a way of seeing and engaging with the world that takes you to another level of consciousness that’s almost meditative.

What drives most photographers is to capture something special, that resonates on a personal level, and which elicits an emotional response and a connection to a moment in time that can never be recreated. For myself and many photographers it can even be a spiritual experience, where the connection you make with a place, or person, is deepened & enhanced by the capturing of a special moment - frozen in time.

Edinburgh is a wonderful place to live, full of beautiful parks, gardens, rivers and buildings, which offer endless opportunities for passionate photographers. Whether you love street photography, architecture or cityscapes, it’s a joy to explore with your camera and if you’d like a passionate local, photographer guide to show you some of the city’s best photography spots, on and off the beaten track, then please get in touch, or book a workshop here. It’ll be a pleasure to meet you and guide you around one of the world’s most photogenic cities.
